is the world’s sixth largest nation. It is a land of extremes, and the landscapes are as diverse as the wildlife, from arid deserts to tropical paradises and from modern and bustling cities to the remote outback.
If you’re planning to go on a holiday, exploring our own dear nation can be a trip of a lifetime. However, with such an overwhelming array of destinations, choosing one and planning the trip can be quite a challenge. To help you decide, here are some of Australia’s top destinations:
The Great Barrier Reef
There’s literally a whole new world to see here, and it’s a destination every Aussie should experience at least once. Go snorkelling or scuba diving and get up close and personal with the most colourful tropical fish, coral reefs, and marine life.
Afterwards, you can simply relax in one of the many resorts nearby, or on a deserted beach. You’ll find plenty of this in the Whitsundays. Hire a boat and head off to explore the many islands, you’ll probably see only a handful of people all day!
Australia’s largest city offers so much to see and do! Visit the iconic Opera House and stand under the Harbour Bridge, try surfing at Bondi Beach or hit the shops in the cosmopolitan city centre. There is something for young and old, and with a great train and ferry network, it is super easy to get around.
If you are looking for some luxury then Sydney is for you. Board a private luxury yacht to explore the harbour’s beautiful coves and take in the spectacular views of the city, or stimulate your taste buds with the gastronomic delights of top restaurants. The city is home to many world-class luxury hotels and resorts, so you may find it difficult to choose where to stay!
Another greatest city, Melbourne offers a great contrast to Sydney. Here you can relish the city’s café culture and indulge in the many restaurants and bars. Wander leisurely down the Yarra, or get lost in the colourful laneways the choice is yours.
If shopping is your thing, then Melbourne is the city for you. Visit some of the many designer stores or factory outlets and grab a bargain!
